Your practice. Your data.
ReliefFlow is a preview release. This notice describes exactly what this version stores, where it stores it, and what you can remove.
Your plan before sign-in
New visitors answer the setup questions, then sign in before practicing. Your setup answers and any practice saved before this change are kept on this device in browser storage, including IndexedDB. They are not uploaded as practice records unless you sign in. Anonymous event-name counters still go to ReliefFlow's server as described below. Signing in is how you get the same practice on a second device. Existing device practice can be added to an empty account; for a nonempty account, you choose whether to add the device sessions. The original device copy is kept.
What is saved when you sign in
Your name, focus areas, goal, session length, reminder time, custom routines and stiffness check-ins are saved to your account. Your journal holds session dates, practice time, before-and-after ratings and any notes you choose to write. The first time you sign in on a device that already has local practice, that practice is copied to your account so nothing is lost.
If you turn on reminders for a device, that browser's push address and encryption keys, your time zone and a record of which reminders were sent today are saved to your account so a reminder can arrive at your local time. Turning reminders off, signing out on that device, or deleting your data removes them.
Stiffness ratings are your own subjective self-reports. They are not measurements, and nothing in ReliefFlow assesses your body.
Who processes it
Accounts and practice data are stored with Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore). The app is served by Vercel. Only the app's own server can read your practice records; the database refuses every direct browser request.
When you start a membership or trial, Stripe processes payment details on its hosted checkout. ReliefFlow stores the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, and paid period end in a separate billing record. The app does not receive or store card numbers.
When you subscribe in the iPhone or Android app, Apple or Google processes the payment. RevenueCat, our subscription service, receives your ReliefFlow account identifier and the store's purchase records to confirm the membership, and ReliefFlow stores the store, plan, trial status and renewal date in the same billing record.
Reminders are delivered by your browser's own push service (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft, depending on the browser). Each reminder is encrypted for your device, so the push service cannot read it.
What stays on your device
Appearance and text-size preferences stay in your browser. Offline practice uses a local copy of your plan and journal, cached movement guides and a queue of sessions waiting to sync. The camera preview is never recorded or uploaded, and no pose analysis is performed on it.
Analytics
ReliefFlow counts anonymous events — an app open, an onboarding step, a class preview or start, a completed session, a sign-in — as daily totals on its own server, including when you practice signed out. Only the event name is sent. No third-party analytics service is connected, and no note, rating, name or email is ever included in a counter.
You can separately join an optional class study from You. If you opt in, ReliefFlow assigns this browser a random tester ID and records your chosen discovery source and one-time milestones: first and second saved practices, class preview, start and saved completion, and interest in Plus. It does not attach your name, email, account ID, journal, body ratings or class choice. The study stops recording after 14 days and schedules the tester record to expire after 30 days. Leave the study in You to remove its record sooner; deleting your practice data also attempts to remove it. The anonymous daily counters above are separate.
Export and deletion
In You → Your data you can download your plan and journal, or delete your practice records. Deletion removes the server copy and this device's copy. If you have used ReliefFlow offline on other devices, clear it there as well. Deleting your practice data does not by itself delete the sign-in account. Delete account, in the same place, deletes the sign-in account with its practice data, reminders and billing record, and cancels a membership bought on this website. A membership bought through the App Store or Google Play is billed by that store, so cancel it in your store subscriptions. It also does not cancel a paid subscription or erase the separate billing record; use Manage billing to cancel. You can request help with account and billing records through Support.
Payments
Practicing requires a membership, which starts with a 7-day free trial and a card on file. Stripe handles payment and subscription management; ReliefFlow unlocks the app only after a verified subscription event reaches its server. An abandoned or unverified checkout does not unlock access. The app remembers on this device that your membership was active, until its current period ends, so offline practice keeps working.
Before a public release
ReliefFlow is maintained by Rockeish McKenzie; Supportreaches the existing owner inbox. A broad public release still needs final retention and account-handling policies. This preview is not presented as an approved App Store or Google Play release, and its routine content has not yet been reviewed by a qualified movement specialist.
